Mental Health First Aid England

After discovering Mental Health First Aid England, we at Ground Up Digital felt they truly deserved the award this week. Read all about them, and the difference they could make to you, your organisation and the well-being of those around you:

Their Vision / Mission:

MHFA England offer expert guidance and training designed to support mental health. Their training courses raise awareness of mental health and equip people with the skills they need to support their own and others’ wellbeing. They believe there should be no stigma surrounding mental health and it should be a subject which is freely and easily discussed. Set up in 2007 and now operating in 25 countries around the world their mission, going forward, is to train one in ten people, in MHFA England skills.

Why We Chose Them:

We believe that the work MHFA do surrounding mental health is vitally important. Raising awareness of mental health in the workplace will allow more people to feel fulfilled in their career and enjoy a better quality of life. This also benefits the companies who find their staff are more productive which in turn helps to support the economy by ensuring the businesses can grow and hire more staff.

How You Can Support Them:

MHFA are the only provider of licensed Mental Health First Aid instructor training in England.  They run a wide range of different courses, from basic Mental Health Awareness sessions to a full Mental Health First Aider qualification so there’s something to benefit everyone.
